In 2013 Gavin, along with his best in show winner, Jilly, set out to walk from the NEC in Birmingham to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, and raised nearly £50,000 for charity along the way.  He was joined by some of the other Top winners from previous years along the way.

Following the success of that event, he came up with the idea of Pedigree Paws Unite, which was a 160 mile walk across 7 days in 7 different locations in the UK, walking with all recognised dog breeds in the UK. This adventure raised £70,000 for charities.

Since 2014, The Peek A Boo Trust has held the annual Pawscars awards on the eve of Crufts.
